Audio: Saigon Disses Rick Ross & Big Sean

May 27, 2012 · Posted in beef, news · 18 Comments

During a recent interview with SOHH, Saigon took some shots at Rick Ross and Big Sean.

“You can put all this sh*t on your site because I don’t give a f*ck. I don’t give a f*ck because at this point, I’ve made up my mind. I made up my mind that I’m taking a whole different approach. … Rick Ross and all these n*ggas rapping about drug dealing, all the sh*t that f*cks up the black community, they’re not gonna be able to make no money. I’m gonna shut all their money down. Why ya’ll supportin’ a n*gga that promotes the destruction of our community? Why are you doin’ that? Why would you let this n*gga thrive and we don’t know where our next jobs are coming from? He’s rapping about selling kilos of cocaine and selling drugs. This is what he’s about, this whole lifestyle saying he’s so rich and he eats shrimp every night, and ya’ll support this sh*t? and ya’ll broke and poor and your family’s about to get kicked out. That’s our hit son! That’s his hit. Nobody knows the words to this song, all they know is “ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass” [background noises]. We don’t care about “ass, ass, ass, ass,” but this is the society we livin’ in right now. So it’s like alright.”

Saigon then went on twitter and denied ever dissing Rick Ross. He said he was the victim of a falsified story.

Haha never a dull moment with these Hip Hop sites. The sh*t n*ggas do for a headline. Ross is my n*gga and I never singled him out abt the, @rickyrozay Peace my N*gga, I have no idea where that bullsh*t on that website came from homie. U know its all love over here, alsways been Regardless to what, Rozay is making some of the best music in Hip Hop and he came in with Hustling, would be stupid for me to speak on that Om an outspoken person, ALways gonna speak my mind but @rickyrozay is my n*gga. Would be stupid for me to take a shot a n*gga I rocks with.. Im used to this sh*t so it doesnt bother me anymore. i dont even pay attn to what other n*ggas doing anymore.. I stay in my lane.. I just hate the negative energy. I dont care abt what the next man is doing. Im on the other side of the world right now doing what I do Ross is one of the few niggas who ever extended his hand to me before. Mad love for @rickyrozay so with that said. Its a dead issue. MRA

Because of Saigon’s allegations, SOHH has now released the audio for the interview. Listen to the audio below. Saigon clearly says Rick Ross’ name, and clearly criticizes Big Sean’s “Dance (A$$).”

What are your thoughts on the whole commotion?

Reality is he is right and i seen TI talking about this on the breakest club he said he wants to retire from rapping cause these days none of these rappers actually did any of the shit they claim he said its all basically fake and he cant stand to do that shit

    yes!!! Reply:

but @ the same time he’s featured on the next MMG album, or is this just some irony?… Saigon did or did not (lol) say wat every true hip hop fan and every person concerned with the world live in should think about Ross.

Everything about this prick is fake

Saigon is telling the truth but at the same time taking back what he said and being a little bit** just because he wants to still be Rick Ross’ friend.

Hip hop is no longer competitive. Every rapper wants to be each others friend and it makes my stomach cringe.

“Why ya’ll supportin’ a n*gga that promotes the destruction of our community?”

Hope people wake up and stop supporting this fake rappers.
Rappers like DEE-1, KENDRICK LAMAR, J. COLE, TALIB KWELI and NAS should diss all this wack rappers that just talk about drugs, sex and violence.
Don’t get me wrong. You can talk about bad issues to criticize them, but this shitty rappers (Rick Ross, Birdman, Li Wayne, etc) praise those things in their songs.
Then this songs are hear by young childrens, who then start thinking all this empty lifestyle is good because their idols talk about it, so later in their lifes they will start doing all this mess stuff (dealing with drugs, killing people, etc).
I just hope that conscious rappers end this vicious circle, but in order for this to happen, we as listeners and hip-hop fans, should start listening to rap with possitive message and stop listening and promoting bad stuff.

    @Listen To Charlie,

that’s the hard part, there are probably millions of good lyrical conscious rappers, but they barely make it into the industry

Why the fuck is anyone calling this a diss? He just pointed out the stuff that’s going on right now in rap music. It’s true. Matter of fact people like Ross, Lil’ Wayne, Drake, Soulja Boy, YMCMB as a collective do hip-hop more harm than good. These people are the reason people make fun of us (hip-hop listeners). I don’t know this dude Saigon, but he speaks the truth. It’s not a diss. It’s just pointing out what’s wrong with today’s hip-hop!

    MosDef Reply:

@verbst, Saigon is a beast bro. The greatest story never told was a banging album production by just blaze. Check it out. But other than that I agree with u. All these industry slaves are a fucking joke

    verbst Reply:
