1 Verse, 1 Hearse #3, Lil Wayne – It’s Good
Wow. How do I begin to talk about this Lil Wayne verse on It’s Good. To be honest it’s legendary. I’m going to have to bring out the
Maybach Bugatti hearse for this one. August 24, 2011 will forever be remembered as the day Lil’ Wayne dissed Jay-Z. I expect a full blown Lil’ Wayne Vs. Jay-Z beef to succeed this.
Now, if you’re familiar with me, you know that I do not support rap beefs at all. Although I’m hesitant, I am throwing all of my fuel into this Lil Wayne Vs. Jay-Z fire that is about to explode into the blogospehere once Jay responds. I’m reluctant to support this beef because last time Hip-Hop had a beef of this magnitude we lost two of the greatest. I hope this one turns out much better though. I don’t want any violence because Wayne is a small dude and although Jay is like 60 years old, he will still kick his ass. Seriously though, I hope this takes Hip-Hop into another level. I would tell you to what level, but I have to idea where we will end up. I just hope Hip-Hop ends up winning.
Stop playin, I aint with that bullshit
Niggas act like bitches. Shanaynay, oh my goodness
This is Wayne’s World, and y’all are just some tourists
Give me three wishes, I wish, I wish, I wish, you would bitch
Brand new p-ssy, p-ssy good as baby powder
Two glock 40′s, nigga you got 80 problems
Swimmin’ in the money, Imma need some f-ckin goggles
Its better to give, but we dont give a f-ck about ‘em
I just came home, shit then got real hoe
Lil Weezy-ana, the boot nigga, steal toe
I aint workin with a full deck but I deal hoe
I just touched down, kick the motherf-ckin field goal
Talkin ’bout baby money? I got your baby money
Kidnap your bitch, get that ‘how much you love your lady’ money
I know you fake nigga, press your brakes nigga
I’ll take you out, that’s a date nigga
Im a grown ass blood, stop playin with me
Play asshole and get an ass whippin’
I think you pussy cat ha, hello kitty
I just throw the alley-oop to Drake Griffin
I lay em down, tempur-pedic
This shits a game of chess, you niggas think its cleavage
Its young money, yeah ’tis the season
I give you the business, bitch this a business meeting
My niggas hungry, my bitches greedy
Will I die a bloody murder? Dear Mr. Ouija
Nigga, Im straight, my girl a faggot
Potato on the barrel, pop pop tater salad
“I’m Good” is the perfect undercover diss track of all time. On the cover it looks like a normal track off C4. But it’s far from your normal Hip Hop track.
Wayne gets Jadakiss, a notable NY rapper and former Roc-a-fella signee to open up the track. I found it very strange that Kiss was on Tha Carter 4, and that he was rapping on this Southern type of beat. He did a good job, but southern beats don’t go with Jadakiss. I don’t think Jadakiss knew what Wayne and Drake were going to do with this track either. His subject’s are out of sync from what Drake and Wayne are talking about. It is fair to say that Jadakiss was just used to entice the New York audience.
After Jadakiss finished, Drake
Griffin Nash went in for the perfect assist. “Please pardon my brother, He’s just angry at you n*ggas/ who dont have your heart in your rap shit”, or in non-drizzy language, “Excuse what Wayne is going to say, he’s just being honest, and Jay-Z isn’t a rapper anymore he’s a businessman”. The foreshadowing on this is incredible. This Drake Nash assist deserves to be on SportsCenter tonight.
Tune then takes Nash’s assist and breaks the backboard. “Give me three wishes, I wish, I wish, I wish, you would b*tch”, or in non-Wayne language, “Jay Z I wish you would say my name on a diss record! You wouldn’t dare to say my name, c’mon say my name!”.
Then came the line heard around the world. “Talkin ’bout baby money?/ I got your baby money/ Kidnap your b*tch, get that ‘how much you love your lady’ money”. I was speechless, mouth open, eyes wide when I heard that line, that shit cray. Wayne also chooses to play Jay-Z’s subliminal game by not saying Jay’s name on the track. But, it is very obvious that he was responding to Jay Z’s line on H*A*M. “I’m like really half a billi n*gga, Really you got baby money, Keep it real with n*ggas, n*ggas aint got my lady money”. There is no question that Lil Wayne was dissing Jay-Z.
Honestly, I can’t find a hearse good enough for this verse. Wayne displayed an incredible amount of courage in dissing someone as legendary as Jay-Z. I never ever thought Wayne was going to reply to to Jay-Z. Especially after what Jay had said on “Mr. Carter”, “…I share Mic time with my heir Young Carter,/ go farther Go further, go harder /Is that not why we came? /And if not, then why bother?”. From that point forward I never thought I’d see a Lil Wayne-Jay Z beef. But that’s all in the past. Jay took a shot at Wayne, Wayne shot back, and now the beef is on. Lil Wayne’s quest to greatness now begins. In order to be considered one of the top 5 rappers of all time, Weezy will have to take down none other than Hov in a pound for pound, rap heavyweight fight.
The biggest verse of Wayne’s career undoubtedly deserves a ride on the KillerHipHop Hearse.
